Pakadi tree - biggest tree in South Asia
Pakadi tree, located to the east from Devdaha, approximately 2 KMs South West from Khairenii in Rupadenishi District, Nepal is a giant and sacred tree. The locals refer it as Pakari Brikshya. The tee is surrounded by fields and is considered to be holy. People worship its trunk and they believe any harm caused to the tree will bring bad luck. People also claim that despite being a huge tree, none of the predatory birds sit in this tree. Pakari tree is believed to be from the era of Lord Gautam buddha.
