The great and selfless passion and love for one's country is patriotism. One's motherland is superior and is often compared with heaven. Every true Nepali people work their heart out for the progress of Nepal and their countrymen. Patriotism inspires ones to fight for the freedom of his country and to rise in revolt for the country's well being.
Patriotism is definitely not the blind trust in anything our leaders ask us to do. The mindless goose stepping without thinking the consequences of one's action is the result of what happened today in Kailali. It is a surprise to all Nepalese living in Nepal as well as abroad. We have a long history of living in harmony and peace despite being a multicultural and multi caste society. No matter what religion, caste or region we belong to we have always been happy people and have been there for each other for decades. Our ancestors did not have the likes of education like we people do have today. We have become more and more wise but our thoughts and behaviour, they resemble more like from the stone age.
On top of constitution and development, Nepal needs peace and prosperity. Federalism without peace and harmony is of no use. Let us respect each other as a person who we are and what our characters are like, but not for living in hilly region, terai region or being bahun or chetter or tharu. A true nepali should himself/herself think as a citizen of Nepal as a whole and that is what matters the most because to the world we are known as Nepalese.
